Dermoscopy features:- All BCCs shows tree like vessels(Arborising telangiectasia) and ulceration.Pigmented BCCs may also shows following features:-
Large blue grey ovoid nests
Multiple blue grey globules
Leaf like areas and
Spoke wheel areas.

Summary:-BCCs may varies in their clinical,demoscopicaland pathological appearence.Dermoscopy may lead to improve diagnostic accuracy for this lesions,so whenever biopsying these lesions get a ample size of sample otherwise,histopathologist may not be able to discern the subtype.

Diagnosing Basal Cell Carcinoma

Basal Cell Carcinoma-A common form of skin cancer,slow growing in nature and commonly arise in areas chonically exposed to UV light eg,head and neck.Rarely metastasis but,if untreated can produce local tissue destruction even cartilage and bony invasion.

Clinical Appereance-BCCs vary in their appearence.It may present with pearly transuluscent edge,a cystic nodule,rodent ulcer,or a red plaque with prominent vessels and even as atropicindurated plaque.

Histological features-Compose of nests and islands of basaloid cells,contain scattered melanin producing cells and resulting pigmented BCC which can be confused with melanocytic lesion eg,a naevus or melanoma.

Histological subtypes of BCC:-(1)Infiltrative (2)Micronodular (3)multifocal
(4)metatypical (5)basosquamous)and(6)sclerosing.
All 6 types may behave differently
Later 3 are more aggressive in nature.

In the midst of my misery-memory

My dear friends,
I should not be feeling low just because i lost(may be misplaced)my specs,but believe me friends without my specs i feel at a loss,things are blurred .This is first time when i am without my specs,and i know it is very hard to believe that whole night i was just dreaming about my dear specs.Cathy and bikku tried to console me a lot but it did not work at all..........
However,in this is mess bikku promise me new specs n contact lenses.I think my brother in law Yugraj will send it next week,bit hopeful about it.It does not mean that i am not going to miss my dear old one,it will haunt me at least couple of months..............please do not laugh at me...it is not funny. I genuinely feel so.
